Day 1 Auckland - Waitomo Caves - Rotorua
Journey south to the farms of the Waikato. Follow
the Waikato River, New Zealand's longest, to Hamilton before continuing
on to the Waitomo Caves. Visit the Glow Worm Caves with their millions
of fairy lights (Included). Reboarding the coach traverse the Mamaku
Ranges before descending to Rotorua. This evening we suggest you
experience a Maori Hangi and Concert.

Day 2 Rotorua
This morning's half
day tour first visits geysers, steaming pools and boiling mud. The
excitement continues at the Agrodome where the stars of the show
are nearly all sheep. After learning of New Zealand farming heritage
relax amongst the native bush and crystal clear pools teaming with
Brown and Rainbow trout. The afternoon is free.

Day 3 Rotorua - Gisborne
Round the shores of lakes Rotorua, Rotoiti and
Rotoma. Continue along Hongis Track surrounded by native forests
to reach the timber town of Kawerau. Pass the extinct Mt. Edgecumbe
and over the Rangitaiki Plains to Whakatane. Following the coast
to the beach resort of Ohope and on to rural township of Opitiki.
Climb through the Waioeka Gorge to traverse the Raukumara Ranges
before reaching the fertile wine producing Ormond district and Gisborne,
the World's first City to see the new day. On arrival you will be
greeted by your hosts Manav and Robyn Gareewal renowned for their
knowledge of the local wine industry. The evening will be spent
at their luxurious country lodge.

Day 4 Gisborne Wine Excursion
Join your local guide and discover why Gisborne
is known as the Chardonnay Capital of New Zealand. A highlight will
be a visit to Ross Revington's award winning boitigue vineyard with
its plantings of Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer grapes.

Day 5 Gisborne - Napier
This morning travel south through the hilly East
Coast farmlands. Pass through the town of Wairoa and cross the spectacular
Mohaka River as you wind your way to Napier - famous for its Art
Deco buildings built after the destructive 1931 earthquake and its
quality vineyards and orchards.

Day 6 Hawkes Bay Vineyards
The Hawkes Bay is one of New Zealand's foremost
wine producing regions and site of the country's oldest winery.
The region boasts over 40 wineries, many have won national and international
acclaim. With high sunshine hours, warm, dry summers and mild winters
the preferred varieties include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay or Sauvignon

Day 7 Napier - Martinborough
The morning will be free. Departing Napier cross
the Takapau Plains before reaching the town of Dannevirke, originally
settled by Scandinavians. Continue past Mount Bruce home of the
National Wildlife Centre with its collection of rare New Zealand
birds. Pass through the community of Masterton and the market gardens
of Greytown to Featherston where you will be transferred to your
accommodation.

Day 8 Martinborough
The Martinborough region is famous for it's dry
free-draining soils. These soil conditions and a dry climate are
ideal for the growth of some of the World's best grapes and olives
in the world. Martinborough wine is now internationally acclaimed,
particularly its Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Today your local
guide will introduce you to the Martinborough Vineyards.
