Day 1 Arrive Wellington

On arrival at Wellington Airport you will greeted by our representative and transferred to your accommodation. The balance of the day will be free to explore the Nation's Capital.

Day 2 Martinborough Vineyards day excursion

Travel by train beneath the rugged Rimutaka Ranges to arrive in Featherston. Your local guide will meet you on arrival and transfer you the short distance to Martinborough. The Martinborough region is famous for its dry free-draining soils. These soils and a dry climate are ideal for the growth of premium grapes and olives. Martinborough wine is now internationally acclaimed, particularly its Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Today your local guide will introduce you to the Martinborough Vineyards. On completion of the excursion return to Wellington by train.

Day 3 Wellington - Blenheim - Marlborough Vineyards

Cross Cook Strait on the Lynx Ferry. On arrival you will be greeted by Marlborough Travel for an exploration of one of the New World's finest wine producing regions. The region has an international reputation for producing the World's best Sauvignon Blanc plus very good Chardonnay and Riesling. Today you will have the opportunity to meet with a number of the regions leading wine makers.

Spend the evening staying at Black Birch Vineyards. Your hosts have had a long association with the New Zealand wine industry and will be delighted to share their passion for wine with you.

Day 4 Blenheim - Nelson

This morning transfer to Nelson, New Zealand's sunniest city. This afternoon join your local guide for an introduction to the many quality vineyards that encompass the Nelson wine region.

Day 5 Nelson - Wellington

The morning will be free to discover Nelson with its many art and crafts stores and trendy cafes. Early afternoon transfer to the airport for your short flight to Wellington.
